MTBtire sizes: 26", 27.5", 29" etc Road bike tires also measured in a made up numbers system, just one made up by the French: 650c, 650b, 700c, 700b etc. 27.5" and 650b are the same bead seat diameter. 700c and 29" are the same bead seat diameter. This is why the only system that makes sense to measure rims in is ISO.
Andif that wasn't enough, an in-between size, the 27.5 mountain bike has come out in just the past couple of years. Attempting to capture the best of both sizes (26 and 29er), the 27.5 wheel has been well received by mountain bikers. Just remember that it's a wheel size, not a frame measurement.
Aswith most bike wheel naming conventions, the term ’26 inch’ does not refer to the diameter of the wheel itself, but rather the approximate outside diameter of the tire that fits this wheel size. The actual ISO diameter of a traditional 26β€³ wheel is 559 millimeters. 27.5β€³ / 650b Wheels (ISO 584 mm) One thing that makes bicycle wheel

It would of course work, and plenty of people ride that size on dry trails. I'd say you'de be better off with 29x3.0. . 441 197 288 337 100 189 331 233
